How we treat one another

Love as a Filter.

Anger, grief, betrayal, humiliation, and hurt can arrive without permission. Love doesn't erase them. It governs what we choose to do with them.

Love does not mean surrender.

Love can say no. Love can leave. Love can demand accountability. Love can protect itself and other people. The line is not whether conflict exists; the line is whether we intentionally cultivate cruelty as the answer.

A practical test: Is the next thing I am about to do aimed at solving the problem, protecting someone, or restoring what can be restored โ€” or am I trying to make another person hurt because I hurt?

Why put this on a civic site?

Because institutions are built by people, and public life becomes impossible when humiliation, retaliation, and tribal contempt become the default operating system.
